You don’t need to be smart to get rich
Not all rich people are smart; therefore you don't need to be particularly smart or to get rich.
Take me for example, I’m just average intelligence. O.K. so I’m not really rich (yet) but the point is I’m better off than many others who are “much smarter” than I. I have my moments (like all of us), but my intellect is not what is doing it for me.
I won’t argue that knowledge plays a big part. But knowledge and intelligence are different things.
No matter who you are you can find the knowledge to make millions if it is your desire to do so.
How many of us had smart teachers? The kind who seemed to know everything and could really put the point across with factual accuracy and finesse? Yep, we all had them, plenty of them. Still not many of them are millionaires (and a million isn't even that much anymore).
Don’t get me wrong. I have nothing against teachers. Teachers get other rewards over and above their salary. They also provide a great service to the community. Some do use their income smartly and are able to attain real wealth (they do so because of their financial competence not their intellect).
My teachers always went on and on about how you need good grades to be successful and that simply is not true. Granted if you want to be a successful doctor or lawyer etc (to use the most common examples), good grade are a part of the process, but there are better easier and faster ways to get rich.
Being a professional with a large salary is not the type of success I'm talking about here. I’m talking here about having a life. To do that most effectively you need to not work, and believe me doctors and layers still need to work for their money.
In fact getting great qualification is not even a guarantee of getting a job, nor is it any guarantee you will end up being highly paid.
Sure there is probably a statistical correlation (a link) between smart people and higher incomes because smart people are better equipped to find wealth the traditional way (study hard > get qualifications > get job). But the conventional way (wage/salary) is actually the hardest way to make money. Most people who go down this will only end up in a perpetual cycle of earning and paying bills. Maybe over time they buy property and end up retiring comfortably (having worked their whole lives). Those who make a lot of money tend to also increase theirs tastes to match their salaries, effectively spending the same amount of money relatively.
The truth is you don't need to be smart, you only need to have the knowledge to be in control of your financial future. That’s no bother, this knowledge isn’t rocket science; it doesn’t involve complicated mathematical equations or memorizing scientific names in Latin. In fact it’s some thing I gradually stumbled across and you can learn right here.
You don't need to smart, just smart enough to keep reading.
